Alfa-college is a leading Vocational Training Centre in the north and north-east of the Netherlands, dedicated to preparing young people and adults for the demands of today and tomorrow’s society. Addressing the Skills Gap
The demand for technically skilled professionals continues to grow, particularly in the data center industry. With rapid advancements in 5G, AI, and other technologies fueling the growth of the data sector, the challenge of finding trained professionals has become even more pressing.

At Alfa-college, we’ve been actively working alongside the data center industry for several years to bridge this gap. Our initiatives include:

• Promoting careers as data center engineers to raise awareness about the opportunities in this field.
• Offering elective modules in data center engineering, providing students with specialized skills tailored to the industry.
• Facilitating internships in collaboration with industry partners to offer hands-on experience.
• Co-developing data center education programs with industry stakeholders to meet current and future workforce needs.

Our Contribution to CEDCE
The technical center of Alfa-college offers several courses relevant to the data center industry, including:

• Special Electives for Data Centers: Including BIM (Building Information Modeling), equipping students with modern tools and methods critical to the industry.
